About the course:

CPCAB Level 2 Counselling Skills is the starting point in your Counselling qualification. It is a wonderful place to start if you are unsure whether becoming a counsellor would be right for you. 

You will be learning how to use counselling skills ethically and safely, establishing boundaries, empathically, gaining self-awareness and the use of this in helping work,  understanding relationships, endings and the use of feedback and reflection to enhance your counselling skills. 

Whether you want to become a fully qualified counsellor or you're not sure yet, this is also a great course to up-skill any current care role.  

Costs:

Level 2 is currently £750. This can be paid in full at the beginning, or spread into 4 monthly payments whilst you are studying with us. Fee includes tuition costs, course materials and tutorials. 

There is a separate candidate CPCAB registration fee of £182 which is to register you and prove you have completed a CPCAB approved course.

Entry Requirements:

There are no academic requirements prior to joining the course, however, having access to a laptop and internet outside of the your lessons is essential. 

No prior knowledge or experience is required, however, below are some of the criteria we are looking for:

  • Able to cope with course content
  • Able to benefit from self-development
  • Emotional stability
  • Show awareness of difference and diversity
  • Ability to translate intra-personal experience into language

You will be required to attend an informal interview prior to joining the course. 

Minimum age of entry is 18+. 

Study time:

We run the course over 18 weeks, 5 hours per week. The next course starts in June 2025 and runs on a Tuesday evening 4pm-9pm.

This is a face to face course, not online.

About the course:

Once you complete Level 2 and are now invested like many other students and would like to progress, CPCAB Level 3 Counselling Studies is the next step. 

CPCAB Level 3 Counselling Studies runs on a Thursday evening 4pm-9pm starting in June 2025.

You will be expanding on knowledge gained in Level 2, alongside adding in a theoretical lens, preparing to work within an ethical framework, understand the counselling relationship, understand difference and diversity issues to develop empathic understanding, understand counselling theory to develop self awareness in counselling practice, gaining awareness of mental health, experience supervision and reflection groups to support your counselling studies.  

Costs:

Level 3 is currently £1200. This can be paid in full or or spread into 4-6 monthly payments whilst you are studying with us. Fee includes tuition costs, course materials, supervision and tutorials.

There is a separate candidate registration fee of £189 which is paid to CPCAB to register you and prove you have completed a CPCAB approved course.

Entry requirements:

Minimum age of 19+.

You must have gained a CPCAB Level 2 Counselling Skills qualification within the last 3 years. This must have been 90 guided learning hours.

Study time:

We run Level 3 over 18 weeks, 5 hours per week.
